Infrastructure robotics highlights video
The following video shows highlights of some of the infrastructure robotics development going on at the University of Leeds, featuring work from the Self Repairing Cities project. This includes drones capable of delivering surveillance buggies, folding drones that can be inserted through small openings before unfolding and surveying the area, and a repair drone with 3D printer designed to patch road defects before they become potholes (shown here printing plastic for demonstration purposes). The video also shows the difficult locations that some of these minimally invasive robotic devices can reach, with footage from an expedition to the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt.
