Self-Repairing Cities mid-term report 2018
The Self-Repairing Cities is now coming up to its half-way point and we wanted to tell you more about what we’ve been doing on the project. To do this, we’ve produced a brochure to help you learn about our team, research motivations, demonstration projects, public engagement and future plans. This includes case studies on our: pipe robot, 3D asphalt printing drone, low-cost perception sensing inspection robot, infrastructure condition assessment work, autonomous operation of earthmoving trucks from drones, litter collection robot, water surveying vessel, autonomous drone perching and performing manipulation on street lamp posts, nematode-worm inspired robotic model for pothole detection and work on the challenges associated with replacement of human work and the ecological implications of robotics and autonomous systems.
